Friends, Forum Users, Countrymen:

Lend me your ears. I come to praise MrKlaatu, not to bury him. The repartee of forum users lives after them; the encumbrance is oft interred with their bones. So let it be with MrKlaatu.

It seems like only yesterday when I first stumbled upon the holy forum for Phillips Pronto users. As a newbie, I was lost; but found comfort in the helpful words of the experienced Pronto users. It was there that I first encountered the wit and wisdom of the almighty MrKlaatu.

Searching for answers to the timeless questions regarding Pronto and Radio Ra, I was given the traditional time-honored newbie welcome by the one and only MrK. Through his masterful command of the English language, as well as his exceptional skills in quickly negotiating the Google search engine, I was bombarded with verbal truculence that only a divine - and perhaps other worldly - being could conjure in answer to my most humble request for assistance.

Each passing day brought more joy to my humble being as I relished in the royal discourse of our beloved MrK. He brought tears of laughter to my eyes, and enlightened my soul with his colloquy. I will forever be in his debt, for he has taught me the joys of playful sarcasm, and the wonder of intelligence beyond comprehension that exists in alien life forms.

And so with much sadness, I offer this fond remembrance of our dear departed. Although I did not know him long, or nearly as well as this distinguished body assembled here today, I confess that I will miss MrK dearly. It is my only hope that he has found happiness and tranquility in his afterlife, and that one of these days, a being of his superior wit and intellect will once again reign over this forum.

'Tho 'tis hard to disprove a negative, I can assure you that I am no match for the almighty one. Besides, if you reviewed some of my questions in the Pronto chat forum, you would know that I'm still a novice. (Although a brilliant MrK, if he were trying to deceive all of us, could certainly post those same lame questions.)

I guess the only real proof we will have if MrK has assumed another identity is for him to reveal himself. Of course, then he will have to prove it is really him, and not someone else trying to steal his identity. No, that couldn't happen as long as he comes back as MrKlaatu. No one can steal that name, right? Except maybe Daniel. I bet he could. But he wouldn't, right?

OK, will the REAL MrK please stand up?

(where you get MrK out of JL, i'm sure i don't know! but here's my story..and i'm sticking to it!)

JL = Jack Lord

star50 = fiftieth star on the flag = Hawaii

fiveoh = five-oh

= Hawaii Five-Oh, starring Jack Lord.

now, before you ask.......who am i really?

i think, therefore, i yam what i yam. kyuk-kyuk-kyuk-kyuk!

i will admit to this....... i have known mike for about 4 or 5 years, from other forums. i, too, find him very amusing, and have "tagged along" for the ride several times, that's how i ended up here. he does disappear occasionally, but usually returns. it's been my experience that it's not for attention, he just seems to like to move around every once in awhile.
when he does return, he will find this thread very amusing.

Had to reveal this, Star, in your defense to the other post on where MrK is. Others might not have seen this, and we need to clear this up once and for all, don't you think?

Well that's it then. Looks like he's gone off to some godforsaken backwater planet to "find himself."

Yes, I saw what Star,hm Mike wrote. When I see a white field in a post, I check to see if something's hidden. Mike's last post in the intermission forum was 11-16,but his last post in the pronto forum was 11-11. During that time it was Star in the Pronto forum, Star and MrKlaatu in here. But after the 16th, it was Star all around. If Star is really from Hawaii, then should know what "did you see the sunrise" is from, what's so special about it.

hh.. Hello?.. Is this thing on?

MrK has one really good reason to leave.. The least of which being that he has turned into a complete Jack Leg.

Then again. He may have just been run over by a bread truck... never to be heard from again.. right? ;-)
