Hello and thanks in advance for any advice or tips. I'm new to searching for a specific remote. I've always used the OEM remotes that came with the product and left it at that. However I've recentlly purchased a Home Theater System (another remote). I already had a Satelite Receiver, DVD Player, TV and VCR. It's time to try a all in one. I've just started my research and I've been looking at 2 models. URC-100 and the URC R7G, both from Universal. I don't know much about remotes so I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction. I'm just looking for a simple remote that can handle all of my components giving me the main functions of each (on-off, channel, av turner channel, mode select, dvd and vcr play ff-rw stop, etc), would like more, but that may be asking to much. LCD is optional but seems to be a nice feature. Once I do get it set up I just want to keep the operation as simple as possible. One of the people that will be using it is a 63 yr old female that gets frustrated with gadgets(as she calls them). that's one reason I'm looking to put all these into 1. If anyone has any experience with the < $100.00 range of remotes that would meet my specs that would be great. I'll post my components below. OH....also I already have a RF Base that I use with the Satelite Remote so If I could find one compatible with that, it would be great. Thanks

I think you'll find you'll get a better response if you post in one of the remote forums. As the note at the bottom of the page suggests, this is the place for general ramblings; anything other than remotes.
