Anyone see the new cell phone coming out in Korea that is going to be sold with an included remote control. The thought is that if you are going to watch tv on your phone you should be able to change channels with a remote... just like in the living room. Can you imagine actually using a remote to control a device with a 2.2" screen? Is this stupid or am I just jealous that it will probably never make it to the US ;-)

i used a nokia phone with the symbian operating system and used an application which turned it into a remote about a year ago.
it was ok but the range was limited. worked ok to turn up the sound of the pub Tv when footy was on.

left the phone on a bus,(fell a sleep after a 14 hour night shift)

I would like to see a good remote also be a Dect home phone Phone.

I can never find the cordless phone but always have the remote handy and if i did loose the remote i could call it to find it

Mr. G. - The weird thing about this Curitel phone is that it doesn't come with a remote app to control the TV... it comes with a remote control to control the phone. So you could watch TV on the 2.2" screen

I'm not sure about the remote/cordless phone idea. I can deal with the phone being lost... when it rings I'll eventually find it. I couldn't handle a misplaced remote

lol, that is funny. I guess the question is will the remote be bigger then the phone :)
