Well its a bit difficult to explain to your 8 year old kid but i did this..

My daughter. how do they pick a new pope Daddy?

Me . well its like a Divine I spy with my little eye game sweetheart

My daughter. What do you mean Daddy?

Me. Well God picks some Bishop/cardinal or Priest and they have to guess which one God is thinking of.

My daughter. What if they guess wrong Daddy?

Me . Go to bed and stop asking questions!

They should have POPE IDOL
with kissing tarmac competitions,waving competitins,
competition masses with the audience voting the competitors off
In the live final they should shoot them in the leg and the first one to forgive the shooter first wins.

All with comments from paula abdul and simon cowel

if it has something to do with the end of the world comment, honestly when you said "78 year old well hope he lasts a bit " it made me think of the predictions and how this popes shorter reign interacts with them
