The Trutech 15" LCD TV model plv1615t will work with Phillips Universal Remote "universal consolidator" 4 Device with backlighting. I purchased mine from Radio Shack for $14.99 the code is 1504.

I have the Trutech "19" LCD-HD with DVD (PLV31199S1) and the advice above for using Goldstar codes worked with my Comcast Cable universal remote. The only problem I had is using all 5 digits as the Comcast remote instructions specify. It really only wants 4 digits.... the last four. I used 0178 and I'm good to go! If you read between the lines you'll see the first digit specifies the device you are programming and for TV's that is "1". The codes they listed in the instructions was 10178 so I just used the last 4 digits and it worked fine.

I finally figured out how to program the Direct TV Remote. Switch your remote to AV2 press the exit button, program remote option comes up, switch back to Direct TV on your remote, press select on program remote, choose TV (select), choose Daewoo brand, choose code search from right bottom section of screen, follow steps on screen as explained. Tip keep pushing the up channel button like 40 times before your screen goes black, press select button and switch back to Direct TV on the remote. You're all set! i programed all 3 tv's in my house.

I too was having the same problems. I have a Time Warner Cable Digital cable box and remote...I think made my american scientific or something like that. I tried the Dae woo codes and the Funai codes to no avail. Then I noticed taht many of the codes were similair for many brands...Sony might have 4 codes that are all 1 numebr off etc.

So I tried a few codes one number higher or lower than the DaeWoo and Funai codes and found one that worked. These trutech TV's from traget are related to many other companies like DaeWoo and Funai, but also Venturer, kawasaki, Durabrand, Trutech (of course), ILO, lectron and audiovox. many of these brands were listed on my cable universal remote guide, however the code that worked wasn't listed under ANY of these. The more I dug to write this reply the more I relized I got really freaking lucky! Happy hunting...perhaps this will help somebody out there! FYI if you have Time Warner and got the 19 inchech TruTech LCD HD tv w/ DVD player from target..the code that worked for me with my remote was 0192!

Good Luck

My Trutech TV/DVD Model #PVS2119A, combo does not work with any of the codes listed on the forum. The Remote is for Direct TV (white RC64). I can change channels using the remote, but there is no volume control at all. The TV Remote volume changes show up on the TV display, but no sound either. The text shows, but I'm tired of reading everything.
I had no problems when TV was hooked to cable, everything worked fine. Direct TV is sending a tech next Friday to see what can be done, but I would like to get this figured out. I am technologically adept, but this is weird. Tried AV1 & AV2, tried DVD instead of TV...tried the "punch through to volume" code/steps listed on forum...still no sound. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time :)

I just bought the 19" LCD TV/DVD combo PLV31199S1, and I have an older DirecTV receiver that uses 3-digit codes. The remote is HRMC-15. I've got no idea which 3 digits to use from the 4- and 5-digit codes thrown about here.

Anyone else got this combo to work??

OK, I solved it myself - yay! I went into the on-screen configuration menu, Remote, and switched the type back to the appropriate type. It had wanted me to press & hold TV and Mute, release, then enter codes. AFter re-setting the remote model #, it wanted press Select and Mute. I played with some Gold Star codes the DirecTV box told me until I got one that worked. 004 did the trick.

So for Trutech PLV31199S1 19" LCD TV/DVD combo and DirecTV Hughes HRMC-15 remote, it's 004. Hope someone else can benefit.

Does anyone know the code to the Trutech 13" Round Television/DVD Combo? The model # is T1300-D.

I stupidly bought the floor model of this discontinued item for $70 without the original remote or users manual. Not knowing the problems with Trutech, the employee told me that any of the universal remotes would work, obviously the don't.

I received this email from Cox Cable. after I received it I call them and ask if it would work on all Universal Remotes, and they told to try it and see. Here is what they sent me. God Bless all of You Pastor Hal. P.S I would like to invite all of you to View my website at http://www.pastorhalfriendswinqyao.com/ Dear Mr. Yarbrough:

Thank you for your recent e-mail to Cox Communications regarding your
Cox Digital Cable service. We are delighted to assist you.

If your brand is not listed at all, you may wish to try searching for
your code. To search for a code for your television:

1. Turn on your television set.

2. On the remote control, press [TV] once, then press and hold [SETUP]
until the [TV] key blinks twice. Once it does, release [SETUP].

3. Enter 9-9-1. The [TV] key will blink twice.

4. Aim the remote control at the television and slowly alternate
between
pressing [POWER] and [TV]. Stop when the television turns off.

5. Press [SETUP] once to lock in the code.

Please not that our Universal Remote may not work with all televisions.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Thank you again for contacting us via e-mail. Please let us know if we

can be of further assistance.

Sincerely,

James

I made the same, stupid, bonehead mistake myself!!! I went to Target and purchased the floor model of the same Trutech TV as you did (the 13" TV/DVD Combo...it was on clearance; I figured it was a bargain) and they gave me the wrong manual and remote. And wouldn't you know it, I can't get the universal remote to work on the TV! And I tried THREE universal remotes!!! HOW I WISH I HAD KNOWN WHAT YOU ALL KNOW!!! Personally, I wanted to buy a LG or Sony, but my husband talked me into the "cheaper chicken". Next time, I'll listen to my gut and buy electronics based on a solid reputation and a brand I've actually heard of before! After all of this TV drama, I wouldn't buy an electric can opener from Trutech. Good luck with your Trutech woes, everyone!
