I ran into the same problem and here is the fix: Using the Direct TV white remote, slide the slide to the Direct TV setting and then slide it to the TV position. Pushing the mute key and the select key at the same time and holding it till the light flashes two times above the TV slide enter the code 991 and then hit the power button and enter 1 and using the channel key push it up one time and push the power button then repeat till the TV turns off. Once the TV turns off then push the select button and slide the slider back to the Direct TV setting and your TV now is programmed into the remote control. Using this process it took less then two minuets to find the correct setting. Note you can use this process on any TV and instructions can be found within Direct's mannual.

Note that this will not program the DVD player.

Good Luck

Hi all, the way I got my Trutech T2000-FT 20" or for some of you that want to call it a 21", what ever, to work with DirecTV remote is either do the following or go to your MENU Set-up and follow the on screen instructions for CODE SHEARCH.

Also keep in mind it does not matter what TV you pick for this operation because it is just going to use random numbers until the remote works. Also I found out who, what and where and none of them no the code. But if you need Technical support for your Trutech TV here is the info that Target gave me:

I'm sorry for the trouble you've had while locating the remote control code for the Trutech TV you bought at your Riverside Target store.

In order to ask for the code, you'll want to contact the manufacturer directly. It seems your TV was manufactured by Funai. You can reach them by calling
(800) 242-7158 to ask for the code.

Thanks for shopping with us. We'll see you again at Target.

Sincerely,

Victor

This is what Funai told me: Sorry but this is a DirecTV universal remote problem and they are responsible for posting the codes that will work with our TV with there remote, not the other way around and I agree, as much as I hate to admit it.

They also Told me to try Magnavox or Sylvania because they are the ones that make all there electronics and the codes that go with there products, which should make the remote work.

I tried that and they did not work either, so like I said at the beginning of this BLOG/POST, go to set-up mode or do the following:

Press MENU, (with the select button) then Settings, then Setup, then Remote, then TV and then the following:

1. Pick a TV (it does not matter which one, it is randomly looking for a code, but if
you need one to make you feel more at ease then use Daewoo, Emerson, Funai,
Magnavox or Sylvania). They are all connected with Trutech MFG.
2. Code Shearch
3. (Then slide the mode switch, at the top of your remote, to av1 or av2 or TV) in
my case TV.
4. Press and hold MUTE & SELECT for two blinks
5. Enter 9 9 1, wait for two blinks
6. Enter 1, wait for two blinks
7. Press and release PWR
8. Keep pressing and releasing CH UP, if and when the TV shuts off
9. Press SELECT to lock in code, while the TV is OFF (note, don't worry about going
to fast, if you push to quickly and go past the spot that turned the TV off just go
back or CH DN to get to the code that worked, you do not have to start over).

The remote should turn the TV ON & OFF; it should also work the VOLUME.
This at least gets the two main functions to work, but the MUTE still will not work so this tells me that all we have figured out is a Band-Aid and they still need a good code!!!

I have reported this with all that is connected with this TV and all the Departments of DirecTV (Technical Support, Supervision, the main office here in Riverside County that sends out the Technician, which is called Mountain Electronics ph #1-800-805-8570 and if you do not like what they say call 1-800-347-3288)

I HOPE THIS HELPS!!!

I have Trutech LCD Flat panel 19" HDTV TV/DVD Model: PLV31199S1
Using a RCA Universal Remote Code for TV 1004 works fine (power/vol/channel/mute etc).

My question to the learned is, can anybody tell me the remote code for DVD player (play/stop/ffwd/rew/pause etc.)

And I think that keys like menu, function->TV, function->DVD... etc will have to be taught individually to the universal remote.

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

hey I did have some problems with my trutech tv and my phillips universal remote, until logging on here and finding the code 0614. The code worked, but literally 20mins ago the batteries in my remote died, so I changed them and then my remote wouldnt work. I put in the code 0614 and nothing. Ive tried all the trutech, funai, and daewoo codes in my little booklet that came with the phillips remote. I mean I just changed the batteries, what gives?

I just purchase the 19" TruTech w/DVD from Target just so Comcast could set up my cable. The installer said that this TV was not list in the code book so he did not set it up (and I paid for installation, what a rip - but that is beside the point). After trying a couple of codes for Apex Digital and Funai, I figured "Heck, Vizio is a new brand on the market." So I ran through the code for them. Lo and behold, it was the last code I entered - 11758 that works for everything. It may not solve your issue for a different model but it may get you in the ball park or get you to thinking on how to solve yours.

Press the TV button once.
Press and hold the Setup button until the TV button flashes twice.
Enter the nuneric code.
Press Power (TV will turn off if works).
Repeat 2 thru 4 until you vind the correct code that works for all functions (use the Comcast Remote Contol guide to the numbers).

Good Luck.

We just bought a tru tech 20 inch TV modle CR202TT9. This was a display model with no remote. Motoroloa cable remotes have a serch function. None of the Dawoo codes worked. IT took about 20 minumtes and 40 or 50 codes to find one that work. However I can't tell you which is it as I was in search mode.

If you have Cox Cable, the information below, from another user is correct. I tried "0030" on the Cox Cable remote, and it now controls my Trutech 15" TV/DVD player.

For Trutech tv owners try the codes under Goldstar tv brand. Or such other brands as , AOC, Candle, Envision, Kenwood, Nec. In UEI made remotes, its code 0030.

Trutech 14" TV, model number CR130TT8

Using a DISH Network remote, model number 3.2 IR (built by EchoStar Technologies Corporation)

The Trutech TV's are built by the Funai Corporation. I used the Funal remote code 694 with the above DISH Network remote control and IT WORKED.

Hope this helps some of you with this model of Trutech TV. If you have some other model of Trutech TV or combo device, try going through the Funai codes.

10019 worked for me! So far my Directv RC64 only controls the power and volume, not the DVD or the inputs.

I'll let you know if I find a code that works for those.
