I have a job with a number of standalone TVs with nothing but a Roku Ultra connected.
Frequently, multiple TVs will not sync with the Roku players upon power up and the Roku indicates an HDCP2.2 error. Rebooting the Rokus resolves this. These seems to happen more when a new app is brought online.
All devices are 2022 models. Any insight as to why this would be happening and what the resolution may be (hopefully not EDID read/writer).
Thanks!

I've been having that issue with Roku units for years and it doesn't matter what configuration (TV only, AVR, etc.). I've never looked too deeply into a fix as it is infrequent enough that a reboot takes care of it.

I am trying the following to see if it helps:
Set the Roku video display to 4K HDR rather than leave it on Automatic. I am a bit unclear on how the Roku deals with this setting and behavior.
Set the Advanced display settings to turn off Auto-adjust display refresh rate and set HDR to always on.
I will report back.

I have no idea what you guys are doing. But I hardly ever have any issues out of Roku, no matter what TV brand I connect it to. Well... except the occasional Samsung POS. But that's every device connected to it.
Can't count how many Roku's I've done over the years. No issues!
Note: Roku has had some bad units (Roku 4, etc.) over the years. Never touched any of those, because I kept up with the community about what to avoid.
Right now the model to avoid is the Roku Ultra LT. That is a Walmart exclusive model and many people are buying that POS! It is garbage. DO NOT BUY THAT MODEL! I have seen problems with everyone of them people have bought.

For me it is mixed. Some go thru AVR's, some direct to TV, every now & then an HDMI switcher, etc... Also, sometimes with just HDMI cables other times thru extenders.
It is worth noting I always go thru the menus and manually set everything. I think it's hilarious 'so called' installers that just plug a box in and expect it to figure itself out. Every box in this industry has to be configured for the install in some way. Even if it's just running thru the menu and confirming the default settings are correct for the install (which for Roku is never the case).
