Does anyone know how to do wired IR into a AV marantz Receiver? Without using marantz IR Receiver and using xantech ,amx or crestron. So i can control the Receiver

If I understand the question correctly, you want to plug an Ir connection directly into the back side of the Marantz receiver.

Can't be done without either a Marantz or Xantech adaptor.

If you use the Xantech, run an extra ground connection to the chassis of the receiver. You'll find reliability improves dramatically.

Otherwise, emitter on the face panel.

Why do you need to run another ground for? And from the chassis to what?

From the ground terminal on the 794-50 to the chassis ground on the Marantz

So the devices have the same ground potential.

The RCA that you plug into the Marantz multi room input shares the same ground as the 794-50 (RCA to mini) so what benefit will I get by adding a second ground? I just don't see how adding a second ground wire will help.

Well, to be honest, I would love to see Chassis ground and signal ground be seperated in the audio industry.
