If I understand the question correctly, you want to plug an Ir connection directly into the back side of the Marantz receiver.
Can't be done without either a Marantz or Xantech adaptor.
If you use the Xantech, run an extra ground connection to the chassis of the receiver. You'll find reliability improves dramatically.
Otherwise, emitter on the face panel.
