I just took a pic of the module on a 6L....not only is it -65534 Celsius in Rockleigh but they're calling for lightning...LMAO.....

But it only feels like -655 so it doesn't feel as cold as -65534, unless you have the feels like number set to only 3 digits...
You can't fix stupid

I like how the temps are in Celsius on the top of the screen and Fahrenheit in the forecast on the bottom.

Sorry, I didn't realize you were programming in systembuilder. If you were using simpl, then it would have likely been an issue converting from the provided analog values.

It's a torrid +45 F on the coast here; we're watching cars fall through the ice.

I know that it is -65534c outside but stop complaining. At least it only feels like -655c

I've got an idea...

We need to install one of these systems at the Large Hadron Collider! Just the savings in electricity alone will make it worth the money, because they need to keep the magnets at about 3-4 degrees Kelvin. But, as is shown in the photo, the controller is getting -65534C... problem is that will probably make one of the physicists suspicious, as 0 degrees Kelvin, the lowest temperature possible, as all molecular motion would stop, is only -273.15 degrees C.

So, either Crestron has some really bad code, or they have rewritten the laws of physics!

On a more serious note than my posting above...

The results seen there are really poor on so many counts. The forecast is in F, while values are in C. How do you get the formulars to make it say the temperature feels 10,000 times warmer than it really is? A picture of lightning, and it says "Clear" below.

That many problems make me think someone threw some code together, and tested at one or two values, and said... "Great... Ship It!"

Real manufacturers test their code thoroughly. Most programming projects where I have a formula computing a value, we will test the formula for all possible values of inputs. We code the formula in the language used in the application. Typically someone else independetly codes an algorithm in another language. This independent code is then used to generate a table of all possible input values, and all possible formula results. The table of input values is fed into the algorithm and the resuting output values tabulated. It is then a quick compare operation to determine if all the inputs are giving the correct outputs. This is common procedure for modern programmers. We spend more time verifying our code, than writing code.

The picture above makes me believe their programmers are still in 1990! How do you supposedly get to be #1 with such results? I guess that in a race of pigs, you only need to be the fastest pig.

I am sorry. This is America. We measure temperature in Fahrenheit and use English measurements. Effete Europeans and Asians use Celsius and the metric system so one can perfectly well understand why failure to test for non-American standards wasn't done.

Even in Systembuilder I suspect you could take the incorrect value and redo the math. What is wrong with telling someone you are 18 stone save for admitting you need to lose weight? I grant that we are losing Great Power status but it has not yet been lost. Till then, screw effete measurements other than English and Fahrenheit

Your response is hilarious. Belittle other Industrialized Nations that do not use the US customary units. You realize the US is the only Industrialized Nation to not use the metric system. Just to make sure you understand, most requests by our government use metric units in most technical purchase requests and calls for bid. There is no US mandated measurement requirement, just as English is not mandated as a language.

Yes, spoken as a true American with their head in the sand... I hope that feeling superior is good enough for you, and that you don't really care about providing a superior product or service.

Technically, this is Canada Alan. Remote Central is a Canadian website..so you better start speaking metric around here....LMAO

Not possible. It's a locked module

Okay, I'm completely off topic here!

I like that new word, formular. It reminds me of scalar. Maybe a formular is a formula with no property of direction. No, really, I like the word!

And when did we accept the advertising world's concept of this times that? When you say it makes the temperature feels 10,000 times warmer, you're saying that the base number feels warm!

I'm sick of ad copy that says things like "ten times less calories" or the like! Hey, dumbass, if something has a thousand calories, one times less calories is zero, so ten times less is minus nine thousand calories! THINK, dammit!

I've also heard ads for natural gas saying it's "three times cleaner than coal," meaning hey, coal is clean, but this is three times cleaner. And again, one time cleaner would be completely clean, so how the hell does that mean anything?
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.
