2 bad calls were
1. Roughing the passer, the defender was 2 feet away from
Rotheleswhatshisname when he released the ball. no one
could have stopped to avoid hitting him
2. Roughing the holder, the rushing defender was pushed
and lost his balance. In trying to keep his balance he
ran into the holder.
Harrison should have been ejected for punching the downed
player. The personal foul call resulted in a 1ft penalty.
1. If the guy would have pulled up INSTEAD of continuing through and shoving the QB to the ground, then I would agree with you. It was a cheap shot and the refs called him on it.
2. Again, if the player would have pulled up not shoved the holder as he ran him over, then I would agree with you. Again, cheap shot that got called.
Harrison did NOT punch anyone. He pushed him down with an open hand. When he got back up, he pushed him down again. I agree with the unnecessary roughness call, but in reality, the guy should have just stayed on the ground if he didn't want to get hit again (I would have!). As for the 1ft penalty, if the Cardinals wanted more penalty yardage, they shouldn't have downed the ball inside the one yard line.
The other call I was surprised at was the non revue of that sack and fumble at the end of the game. I've watched it from every angle about 20 times and I honestly feel like it was the right call, but I was surprised that it wasn't "booth reviewed."
