A bead of silicon caulk. My new one is clear double sided tape for rear view mirrors.

I don't know if anyone's mentioned it yet, but you could always use hot glue...

I use a staple gun. If the framers are still around, a nail gun is even better!

I can't believe that nobody seems to have suggested hot glue.

Works really well, c'mon guys get up to speed with current bonding technology!

(thats bond-ing not bond-age)
What do you mean you wanted it on the other wall - couldn't you have mentioned this when we prewired?

so, let's see...what can i take from this thread...speaking of thread, has anyone tried using a needle and thread to stick those unsticky flashers? you def need a thimble to get the needle through all that pesky hard plastic. well, since no one mentioned the obvious solution, i'll just let you all in on a little secret i've been keeping for few years now...a little hot glue should do the trick! ;-)
It's always something.....sigh.

My sence of humor is out the door tonight so I will just be serious. I always try to use the mouse pad covers so that there is no issue of failure.
Don't read my answer. Someone else will go into great detail as to why I am wrong rather than answer the original question...

Hot glue? Why do you guys stick that crap on the outside. We bury them inside and make the install look perfect.

NOW GUYS.....Do ya think maaaaaybe they gave us those extra double sticky peices for a reason.

Allls you have to do is use a fresh piece of included teardrop shaped double sided tape on a clean surfaces ONE TIME. Now, don't be removing it and replacing it over and over. See, it's not going to be sticky anymore if you do that.

Place it exactly where it goes ONCE and I promise it will stay. Then you don't have to deal with getting silicone all over everything.

.....and then I guess there's always hot glue.

I think you will find that the original post was:

"How do you guys solve the problem of flashers that have lost their stickiness and fall off? "

Therefore people answered with a solution that met the requirements of the question.

Now if they had asked "what is the neatest way to install an IR emitter......"
What do you mean you wanted it on the other wall - couldn't you have mentioned this when we prewired?

YOU wouldn't be answering the question if it was done correctly in the first place. Our first year in business we stuck them on. After 150 freaking service calls..............I said
NO MORE. Bury them and be done with it. On this site, we try to help everyone get it right. Make more money in the long run......those kind of things!
