Probably an old question, but here goes. How do you guys solve the problem of flashers that have lost their stickiness and fall off? Double sticky tape? Contact cement? Hot glue? New flasher? What is the best way to deal with this?

I keep extra's of the double sided tape pieces that come with flashers for these occasions. Quick, easy, convient, and takes almost no space.

I usually just stick the emitter on and then tell Jose " hold this until I get back"....
And you wondered where all 12 million illegals were.......

JB Weld is machineable. That pretty much means permanent. Bad bad idea!
I use the extra pads that come with the emitters.
I also try to find out why they come off. If the faceplates are cleaned with anything moist, they will come off sooner or later. They should just be dry-dusted.
I'm sure hot glue would be great. I use silicone if I have to. It's also good and comes almost completely off if need be. Solvent glues (contact cement, Goop, good old airplane glue) eat into the faceplate and the IR case, so they cause damage. (I still maintain some retail mentality, which is to do something permanent that can be undone without leaving damage if at all possible.)

I looked at JB weld. Wasn't sure if it was a joke. Hot glue without a doubt. Doesn't come off unless you want it to, but will disappear quickly.
