Yesterday bought a Bell 3.2 1R #166173 4100 standard remote control.
Doesn't work: No volume control, picture won't come up, channel changer kept landing on ppv channel. Bought at Andres in Kelowna.

Old remote was a Radioshack 6130BAO-C (worked so well for many years that we wore the buttons out).

TV is a Sharp.

Obviously bought the wrong remote?
Any advice on what remote control will work would be appreciated.

Some things that would help in recomending a remote:

1. Post question in correct forum here -> [Link: remotecentral.com] or [Link: remotecentral.com] . A $4.00 remote ([Link: cgi.ebay.com]) is generally not considered a pro remote, so the people lurking in this thread probably won't help you out.

2. Give more details, like what model TV. Just saying it's a Sharp doesn't cut it, there are alot of Sharp models out there. There should be no reason that your model remote shouldn't control your TV. What code are you using?

Anyhome needs, are you the moderator? It seems that your posts never have any substance except to tell people they're posting in the wrong forum. You also tell people to call tech support. Do you have that much free time to act as volunteer moderator? I just see too much of your replies in the forums and they all sound alike: you might as well tell everyone to google it.
