I'm very rusty on URC Total Control, but in process of installing new Epson Home Cinema 5050ub and need discrete Power On, Power Off, and HDMI input.

I see the URC database only has Power toggle.

I don't see discrete power listed in any files here.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!

would you be able to use RS232 instead?  the codes are in the database for power on and power off.

Unfortunately, no. It's a simple IR only system. I thought for sure the Epson 5050 would have a solid cutom AV following, given all the great reviews, and am surprised it's not in CC database with discrete codes.

oh, you had mentioned total control in the original post.

have you tried codes from other epson models?  i usually create a test file with all the codes listed at the bottom of the list (epson 1, epson 2, etc) and test those codes.  might get lucky and find that the discretes from those devices work for yours.

Client has an MX-900, and I was using Total Control to program it. Simple system, IR, with Sony AVR, Directv, Sony BD, and Epson 5050 with motorized lift.
He's had the MX-900 since original installer and likes it. Just wantvto get him a reliable system, and use all discretes.
I usually do RTI, C4, Crestron, and haven't been in to URC in awhile.

FYI, Total Control is different from Complete Control.  Total Control is a network based system that can do IR, IP, RS232, etc.   Complete Control uses RF basestations and direct IR.

Total Control is programmed using Accelerator while Complete Control uses Complete Control Program (CCP)

Complete Control is extremely limited for situations like these as you are finding out.  If you've tried all the codes in the database, the codes may not exist and maybe an upgrade to a better control system or different projector is in order.

Sorry, I am using Complete Control.
Wow, so everyone with Complete Control and Epson 5050 is stuck with Power Toggle I guess (as far as using URC database).

URC's Complete Control Program has 16 IR code sets for Epson projectors. Out of those 16, only 3 of the code sets have discrete power. (579, 767, and 769). With 769 actual just having a discrete off and a toggle power to bring it back on.

So you tried all 3 of those code sets? And none of the discrete power commands worked the projector?

Seems sus!

[edit]: By the way, did they lose the factory remote? Because the factory remote has the discrete off code on it. You learn that into the MX900 and you have your anchor point for powering the projector on & off discretely.

I have a 6050 in my personal system and have the remote which does have both ON and Standby as stated.  If you want to send me a private message, you can send me your file and I will learn the codes into your file and send it back.  If you're not familiar with how to import learned codes, this would be easiest.
