on the prowizard main page just to the right of the Help button, double click where it reads "Mx-810 Prowizard".

I will have to put that down on my list of non-obvious things to remember.

That is the same version I have as well.

CTViggen,

Prior to migrating to Windows 7 from Windows XP it would be best to download and run the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor.

The Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor will determine if your current computer configuration will be compatible with Windows 7, for further information as well as a link for download please go here: [Link: microsoft.com]

Another resource to verify compatibility is available at the Microsoft Windows 7 Compatibility Center located at the following link: [Link: microsoft.com]

Also, please note that when migrating from Windows XP to Windows 7 you will not have an "in place upgrade" option. You will however have the option to select "custom" install when prompted. The Windows 7 install process will then copy all of your data in "My Documents" over to a Windows.old folder within Windows 7 itself. All applications and documents stored in other locations will have to be reinstalled / transferred manually.

For more information on the Windows 7 Upgrade, please go here: [Link: windows.microsoft.com]

For additional assistance with the migration of Windows XP to Windows 7, please go here: [Link: technet.microsoft.com]

My AD went out of business!

I have a MX-900, and just inherited some new pieces of gear (LG BH100 super multi blue player, new sony lcd etc), without remotes. The dealer the remote came from is out of business and unreachable. I downloaded the public software version via my serial # a while back to make some label changes, but I'd really like to get an updated IRDB, especially for the blue ray. I currently have IRDB version 1.80.
What should I do?
More zip ties!

Picked up my MSC-400 yesterday from Audio High, an AD. They are very willing to give me the CCP software but I forgot to ask again while I was there. They will be able to give me the software on Monday, but I would like to start programming now.

Can somone PM me the CCP/IRDB please?

Can I get your remote serial number? Mine did not come with a serial number and apparently Universal does not provide the software anymore to normal users. When I asked them they indicated that they provider the software only to dealers. What a scam.

Caveat Emptor- If you did not get a serial #, you were scammed by the guy that sold you your remote, not by URC. Nothing inside the battery compartment? Care to share the dealer's name so that others can be forewarned?

You forgot to add the U A D to the front of that and the B M P to the end

Jeez, do we need to keep closer tabs on you??
There's no worse feeling than that millisecond you're sure you are going to die after leaning your chair back a little too far.

Does that mean this thread gets electrified again?
There is no truth anymore. Only assertions. The internet world has no interest in truth, only vindication for preconceived assumptions.
