I've been thinking about voice control lately and I don't think -- in the long run -- it would ever functionally replace buttons. In the middle of a movie, are you going to keep saying "volume up", "volume down"? I can see it for basically macro and simple tasks -- "turn system on", "play movie", etc., but it would complement plain old hand control, not replace.
