Hi Lp,
I see where you added to new functions to your Motorola
DCT6412 III Dual-tuner HD DVR. Could you tell me what
purpose they serve when their button is pressed? I have
a general idea, but I looked in my reference guide and
couldn't find anything on "30 second Skip" and "Swap".
Thanks.
Sure wjjz. Explanations are given below. Enjoy!
30 second Skip:When watching something you've recorded the 30 second skip function allows you to skip ahead 30 seconds with each button press. This makes fast forwarding through commercials a breeze. If you've advanced too far the back arrow on-screen button takes you back a few seconds.
Swap:The swap function allows you to swap between the tuners of the DCT-6412 of which there are two. This comes in very handy when the tuner you have selected is actively recording something. If you want to change the channel without interrupting your recording you need to hit up the "Swap" function which moves you over to the other tuner, otherwise you're prompted with the choices to stop the recording and change the channel or continue the recording and not change the channel.
