Hey guys, quick update!
Maybe posting to this forum brought me luck. Found a way this morning to load the software on my laptop (which, ironically, accesses internet via IE7 through my wireless router) and was finally, finally able to get a Level 2 tech who knew her business. Took another 40 minutes on the phone, but she got everything to work. I advised her that, while I greatly appreciated her efforts and success, this whole experience was hugely dissapointing from a service standpoint. I can only hope that I have no further problems; having to start over again with their customer support is not something I would wish on anyone.
