I think there is no such thing as a perfect site. What I mean is that what one considers a feature others consider a problem. I remember reading a post here where someone was annoyed that the screen on the Pronto did not light up when he pressed the hard buttons, on the same page someone was complaining that the Marantz did. I visit a site that does use VB, what annoys me the most from that site (I don't know if it is a VB thing or the way it is implemented) is that it has one cookie for all forums, so when I start reading I am forced to read through all forums fast, or I loose the "new" mark (it also has a very short newness refresh that does not help).
