OK, located another way the program COULD have crashed and fixed it. Also located a small code bug that could have allowed the first problem to reoccur.

You know, the ironic part is that the actual code that adds users, creates messages, updates stats etc, has proven 100% reliable since my last change a month or so ago. It's the LEAST important part of the forum that's managing to take down the rest!
