Eric,

The Pronto is very flexible even without the software and can accomplish what you want without the software. The home screen has buttons for each of the devices. I have my sytem set up such that when I tap the DVD device button, the following happens automatically:

1. The receiver input is changed to the DVD input
2. The TV input is changed to the DVD input
3. The screen changes to the DVD screen which has the primary buttons to control the DVD player.

Other actions could also be included in the above list such as turn the DVD player on, turn the TV on, activate a screen (if not using a TV), etc. The possibilities are almost endless. I did not change the label of the DVD device button, but you could if you wanted to. The ability to have a device key actually run a macro is an undocumented feature that Daniel discusses in his review of the Pronto.

When the software becomes available, there will be an almost unlimited ability to program the Pronto.

If you have any problems when Santa brings you the Pronto, just ask and we will all be glad to offer assistance.

Scott
