Have a backup plan. I will now be wiring a behind-the-tv option for the amp, in case the ARC extender fails.
Two out of the first 5 were intermittent. Sonos blamed it on Samsung firmware/protocols. I’ve replaced one extender with an AV ProEdge extender that may have fixed the intermittent problem. Time will tell.
I have a system with a Sunbrite TV and a Binary HDMI extender that supports ARC going for over 3 years now, feeding back to a Sonos Amp. Working great so far, knocks on wood..
