You will find that color remotes give the best contrast.
There's also another option. The 2.0.0.4 version of SNL available in the Files section supports a large button layout where each button is 21 pixels high. This allows the 12 point font to be used. You might check out 2.0.0.4 before investing in another remote.
Version 2.0.0.6 will be released here soon. This version can use a Marantz RC9200 CCF as input and generate lists in the 240x253 screen size required on the TSU3000/7000. Users of these remotes could generate their List CCFs separately and then import the CCF into PENG or PPENG and merge with their current CCF. The only thing remaining to do is to hook up the jumps.
Try the large button layout, see if you like it. It's a bit different to what you are used to seeing. However, I use it myself to generate a TV Channels List.
