In an almost simultaneous news release with sister company RTI, Pro Control has announced a slew of new products that they’ll be showing at the upcoming CEDIA Expo 2014 in Denver, Colorado, this coming September.
Again, much like with RTI, these products have been seen before – namely in our Pro Control CEDIA Video. However, as far as I know this is the first time that some of them have been formally announced with product photography!

NEW! Pro.zwi Z-Wave Interface
Designed to be used with Pro Control's advanced ProLink.z processor, the Pro.zwi Z-Wave interface makes it simple and cost-effective to provide control and automation capabilities over an extensive list of electronics. Utilizing the Z-Wave wireless protocol, the module provides the communication interface between a Pro Control system and a home or commercial facility's lighting, door locks, thermostats, and other Z-Wave-enabled devices. Eliminating the need for a different app for each Z-Wave device, the Pro.zwi paired with the ProLink.z processor provides users with unified control and monitoring over all devices — including components controlled by IR, IP, RS-232, and relay — directly on their Pro24.z remote or iOS device running the ProPanel app. Unlike many other automation solutions, there are no Z-Wave licensing fees or monitoring charges.

Pro Control's Pro.rfz wireless range extender dramatically extends the wireless communication range between a Pro24.z remote control and ProLink.z processor. Perfect in larger installations, the Pro.rfz makes it simple and cost effective to bolster 2.4 GHz ZigBee® wireless networks and extend them to additional areas of a home or commercial facility. This provides users with powerful two-way control and feedback of supported electronics, allowing them to view song metadata, lighting and temperature levels, and more on their Pro24.z remote. The Pro.rfz communicates wirelessly with the ProLink.z processor up to 70 feet away and is conveniently powered from any electrical outlet. For increased reliability in larger installations, multiple modules can be utilized within a single system to create a wireless 2.4 GHz ZigBee RF network that instantly adapts to the environment for greater accuracy.
ProLink.z/Pro24.z Two-Way Control and Feedback System
The Pro Control ProLink.z control processor and the award-winning Pro24.z touch-screen controller work together to deliver the ultimate control experience. The ProLink.z features an integrated 2.4-GHz ZigBee® antenna for bi-directional communication via the Pro24.z, in addition to two RS-232 two-way ports for advanced control and monitoring of devices. Sporting a sleek, sophisticated design, the Pro24.z controller features a high-resolution 2.4-inch TFT LCD touch-screen display, programmable five-way joystick, and backlit hard buttons to enable intuitive operation even in a darkened room. Additionally, the ProPanel app sports a completely customizable graphical user interface, giving end users a consistent user experience across all Pro Control remote controllers in their system. ProPanel supports local connection via Wi-Fi® and offers remote-access capabilities via auto-switching Wi-Fi and wireless cellular data — providing users with convenient control and monitoring from virtually anywhere in the world.
