RC News Story
RTI is prepping for CEDIA 2014 this coming September in Denver, and in anticipation of that have announced a list of new products that they’ll be exhibiting.

Unfortunately, it’s difficult not to notice that this year’s new product lists look substantively the same as last year’s new product list. T3x, KX3, KX1, AD-16x, XP-4 – they were all on the 2013 news release, too. However, those products that were far from available back then, are hopefully now either already shipping, or will soon be. The WK2 water-resistant in-wall keypad hasn’t been officially announced before now, but was discreetly previewed at CEDIA 2013.

The full press release follows, including RTI's CEDIA training schedule. Get a look at all these products in person at booth 476!

New RTI Products at CEDIA EXPO 2014:

T3x Remote Control
Featuring a sleek industrial design, RTI's T3x remote control combines a stunning 3.5-inch color LCD touchscreen with programmable "soft touch" hard buttons for quick access to common control functions and four buttons with interchangeable keycaps. The unit's edge-to-edge touchscreen provides users with improved screen swiping, while haptic feedback delivers a subtle vibration as a tactile confirmation when pressing touchscreen buttons. Additional features include integrated grip sensors to keep the T3x awake during use, an accelerometer to provide instant-on control and control via movements, and a built-in camera and microphone for intercom functionality directly on the remote control. Designed for simple integration into any installation, the controller features RTI's dual-RF platform, which supports both 433-MHz RF for one-way control and 2.4-GHz ZigBee® for bi-directional communication with RTI processors and supported third-party electronics. For the ultimate control experience, the integrated 802.11b/g wireless Ethernet provides enhanced two-way control including dynamic graphics, viewing IP cameras, and wireless program updates.

KX3 In-Wall Touchpanel Keypad
Sporting a 3.5-inch color LCD display and five customizable hard buttons, RTI's KX3 in-wall touchpanel is a unique hybrid device that combines the capabilities of both a touchscreen controller and an advanced control processor within a single cost-effective unit. Featuring all of the benefits of an internal XP series processor — such as two-way control via IP and RS-232, and an astronomical clock — the unit even has a built-in 2.4 GHz ZigBee® antenna for connectivity with RTI wireless remotes. Other advanced capabilities include six voltage sense ports with sense-event capabilities, four relays for control via contact closure, an integrated camera and microphone, proximity and ambient light sensors, WiFi®, and more. The flexible KX3 can be used as an all-in-one, standalone solution for control over electronic systems or integrated as an in-wall touchpanel within a larger RTI control system.

WK2 Water-Resistant In-Wall Keypad
The new RTI WK2 water-resistant in-wall keypad is the perfect control solution for environments such as bathrooms, kitchens, and outdoor areas. Featuring a sleek, all-glass exterior construction with an integrated solid-state keypad and a white LED display, the WK2 provides convenient control of electronic systems, with the added benefit of two-way feedback. Compatible with RTI's XP processors, the keypad provides an intuitive control solution for installations where moisture is a factor or anywhere that requires a combination of unobtrusive modern styling and custom control with feedback.

KX1 In-Wall Audio Distribution Keypad
Taking multi-room audio control to the next level, the new KX1 in-wall keypad combines a 1.2-inch color OLED display with support for powerful two-way control, allowing users to view cover art, song metadata, and more. Designed to provide a sleek look in any environment, the KX1 features eleven customizable hard buttons for quick access to control functions, a convenient backlit volume level indicator, ambient light sensors, and an integrated Ethernet connection.

AD-16x 16x16 Audio Matrix Switcher
RTI extends its line-up of audio distribution solutions with the new AD-16x 16x16 audio matrix switcher. Perfect for large multi-zone audio installations, up to 16 audio sources can be easily distributed to 16 zones. Reliable control options include IR/RS-232 and IP with two-way feedback as well as a control protocol with group zone commands. The AD-16x also features audio pre-outs, a 10-band equalizer with presets, and a Web interface for zone setup and grouping configuration.

XP Control Processors
At CEDIA EXPO 2014, RTI will have the latest additions to its XP line of control processors on display, including the revolutionary new XP-4. Offering an HDMI® video output and two inputs for an on-screen display control interface and switching capability, the XP-4 allows the television to become an integral part of the control system. The XP-4 also provides bi-directional communication with supported third-party electronics through an integrated 2.4-GHz ZigBee® transceiver and two bi-directional RS-232 ports. An Ethernet connection allows for software downloads, IP control, and support for the RTiPanel and Virtual Panel, while a host of other control options are available such as relays, IR outputs, and voltage sensing.
