Well, its' not raining,so it could be Tropo......I don't know it always seems that the signal goes to crap when MY shows are on, right now "Bones" and "Fringe" but NOT during stupid baseball or friggin'
football.....apparently sports dorks have it over the nerds! Starting to really pi** me off!!

Anyhow, finally found a place for catching up and not having to wait until rerun season, can't guarantee that all is in HD but the downloadable .avi files (if you have a crappy ISP and can't stream,
like me) have varying quality from 720p to DVD to SuperBeta/SuperVHS levels, you just have to be patient with the downloads[use a manager, then if you're on one machine only you can keep working while the browser is running]. I signed for the free membership[megauploads] and will in the new year go for the lifetime premium,as its' still cheaper than cable!

In the meantime, will search for a better ISP in the new year as these slow dl/s some times get on my nerves. So, I'm missing them tonight but the regular uploaders should fill the need in a day or two.

Icefilms serves as a directory listing with direct linking to Megauploads.

[Link: icefilms.info]

EDIT: got both after agonizingly long d/l but HD, free and no commercials, Hhhmmm....
I could get used to that.

Thanks for the link.

This looks truly promising, especially if the shows are listed somewhere without the unbelievably obnoxious blinking ads and vertically-arranged billboard type show headlines.

I did not find anything anywhere about a pay membership. The Donate button mentions thanks for keeping this free! Where is the lifetime information -- do you only find out about that when you're actually signing up?
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

I don't think you went far enough, sounds like you stayed on the initial page, you have to select a title first, then links to megaupload will be presented.

Hit the "Premium" button,(at the Megauploads page,orange/white background as opposed to ice's blue/black scheme) in between the "FileManager" and "Rewards" button to get to various levels of pay memberships, it also defaults if you try to hit the Premium download button on the file dialogue when NOT a premium member.

When in icefilms, select your episode or movie, skip the stream options and use the download link beneath the two blue boxes and above the "DivX player detected" line it will lead you to megauploads or 2share, once those boxes disappear and you're presented with file options to download.
Many times the choice between 720p or DVD/SD are presented, use it often enough and you'll see who regulars there are.

OK, I've typed the instructions ass-backwards(I work at night and sleep during the day) I'm groggy right now or else I'd give some screenshots, Play with it and you'll catch on, PM if not clear enough.

EDIT: icefilms is for indexing, MU is for storage. http://www.megaupload.com/

I use Adblock Plus from Mozilla's add-ons for Firefox/SeaMonkey, cuts most ads out except some of MU's last minute popups. Icefilms is only an index, you have to travel via links to where the programme is stored.

Dumb question, you're all updated to ATSC tuners, not NTSC eh?

You are in Lincoln, just west of me. In Daniel's chart WUTV is Directional to the south east, in which case, under ideal conditions I reckon I'm getting the westerly "skirt", yours may be weaker because of distance. Keaster seems to be the local antenna guy here he may be able to help.

In your profile you state you have no cable access but I'm guessing since you're here that you have a landline phone and your internet/world wide web service is DSL, in which case you are probably getting faster speeds than my Motorola portable modem[no it's not the rocket].

Not that I'm a shill for them but try the icefilms.info/megaupload combo I posted on previously, if you want your FOX shows and remember, when you've selected the title from an episode[or movie] list for downloading the file, rather than streaming, use the link below the two blue dialogue boxes and above the [white graphics] line that tells you if you have a Divx player or not. That will direct you to Megauploads where you will have the choice of free downloads or premium for multiples, I just signed up for the three month level and will go for the lifetime offer later.
For real techie help I always endorse :

where I can be found as "browncoat" not just because of a certain show FOX cancelled but it matches my initials. :-)

I installed an antenna in Vineland on a 20 foot tower up on the escarpment and I didn't have a problem with WUTV...WGRZ on the otherhand...was directly south

NiagaraGinaG: what kind of antenna are you using? 4 bay, 8 bay, an older UHF/VHF/FM combo? I can point my rotary antenna south east and get all the Buffalo stations except WPXJ, but to get WUTV's signal strength to go up, I need to turn the antenna more to the east and for WGRZ, more to the south, but with a stationary antenna you CAN or SHOULD be able to get Buffalo (including WUTV and the very directional WNYO) it just takes some fine-tuning...like a satellite dish, but once you get evrything, tighten her down! and don't move it again.

Recently I stacked a traditional style UHF/VHF/FM antenna pointing towards Buffalo and above that, a Channel Master 8 Bay 4228 facing NNW to get Toronto and Hamilton, and I was very satisfied with the signal stregnth and the fact that ALL the channels were coming in.

I have even used a 35+ year old antenna for this configuration and it worked just as good.

I'm not crazy about how two 4228's look stacked, that's why I use a more traditional style antenna to point in Buffalo's direction, the yagi works good at getting Buffalo. Back in the 60's and 70's the 4228 (or a UHF antenna that looked like the 4228) was placed above a giant 13 foot VHF antenna and the two faced the same direction (a rotor was used) today everyone is using 60's technology to get HDTV.

Keaster, what is the make/model of your antenna joiner/combiner?

I just use a signal splitter--backwards, so one wire from each antenna into the splitter, and then from the splitter to the tv or booster...just one cable. The name on the splitter is "RMS Digitap". It also says: "low intermodulation splitter" model 1002DWSBSCTE.

I remember reading on Remote Central that it's important to keep both cables the same length, so I do, but not down to the exact centimetre.

Whenever I install antennas like the Eaglestar 8 Bay where there's a splitter and two cables going to it I replace the splitter and the cables with the heavier RG6.

I don't trust the off-shore junk they use: A little extra work now, for fewer headaches later :)

I don't know enough about the specs on the antenna, except it is about 35 years old, and can face either north or south via an A/B switch. There is no rotor, so I'm afraid there is no "fine-tuning". Still no WUTV or WNYO here. And WGRZ comes and goes.
