I found the Insignia Code listed in URC's R5 and R7 remotes.

Also I found a strange thing while doing code search. In amy of the non-learning standard remotes, it is possible to get (at least on/off) Insignia code when you serach on "VCR". Funny but true. If nothing else, at least on/off works with it.

Please help!
I just bought an Insignia 24" TV (IS - TV040922A) and I can't find the correct code needed for use with my Time Warner Universal remote (UR4 - P360). If anyone has any information on this it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Most tv/dvd combo use the codeset of the dvd portion of the combo, so searching tv codes fails. Try a codesearch for dvd codes on either AV1 or AV2 device slots, but don't search for power, but for vol instead. Like so:

1. av1 or av2
2. press and hold MUTE & SELECT for two blinks
3. enter 9-9-1, wait for two blinks
4. enter 2
5. tap VOL UP and release
6. now point the remote at the tv which should be on
7. keep pressing and releasing the CH UP key, if and when the vol changes
8. press SELECT to lock in code

To punch through the vol commands to all devices

1. av1 or av2 whichever has the combo code
2. press and hold MUTE & SELECT for two blinks
3. enter 9-9-3
4. press SELECT

No luck here sir! I'll just return this unit to Best Buy and look for another brand that's "Remote Control Friendly..." I had no problem with my Philips 37" flat tv. This ones giving me a headache. I'm for comfort when it comes to controlling auxilliaries, I'd rather have one than drown in a sea of remote controls... I guess everybody is. Thank you so much sir, appreciate it!

Have an Insignia I-LC26Q1 purchased in Dec. 2004. The remote that came with the tv stopped working about a year ago and Best Buy replaced it. Now the 2nd remote has stopped working. I went to Best Buy and they tried my remote with the TVs on the floor - it only worked on a Sony, not on any of the Insignias. So........they sold me a "Universal Remote Control - FX1". This remote listed the Insignia codes as 350, 399, 400, 401, 402, 403.

None of them worked, so I used the "auto search" method recommended in the remote's manual. After entering over 500 codes, still no results.

I have printed off the suggested codes from this forum and will try them all (0054, 150 and all the Sony codes in the remote manual do not work).

My question now is should I try another brand of universal remote? This is very frustrating as many of you have mentioned!

Any help appreciated.

Thanks for your kind suggestions. Unfortunately.........none of the 3 codes worked. I get the feeling is that is "Insignia" isn't producted by a single manufactuer???? Someone gathers up units and put the "Insignia" name on them, thus there is not a great way to find the codes????

I'll keep trying, but further suggestions are welcome!

Sorry to hear that, have you tried a codesarch on the universal remote? If the FX1 is like the URC R7, looks alot alike, to codesearch:

1. press and hold TV & SEL, until the tv icon stays on
2. keep pressing and releasing UP CURSOR, if and when the tv goes off
3. press the TV key to lock code in
