I have a OneForAll URC-3021 controlling a 2006 24" Insignia IS-TV040922A
The code was 0463 for it and wasn't listed in the book as such.
Sansui showed a 0463 code as well.

After many house on the phone with Best Buy & Insignia, I have found out the Tivo Code for Insignia Model Number IS-TVDVD20A

It is under Sylvania Code Number 0148

Hi, Insignia TV Code for DIRECT TV is 10463. To program the DIRECT TV remote do the following
1. Slide to TV
2. Press HOLD the MUTE and SELECT
3. If TV Green Light flash 2 times proceed step 4 otherwise goto step 1
4. Release MUTE and SELECT
5. Input 10463.

I have a LC26Q1 lcd tv from Insignia, bought from BB sept 2004, I am on my third remote, the first 2 times best best guy went into the "back room" and brought me out a new remote which I took home and it worked fine, for a about 8 months each. Well, this 3rd remote has stopped working and now the model is discontinued, so the BB guy can't go in the back and get me a new one. From my experience, the remotes fail when I fall asleep with my cell phone close or next to the remote. It seems to short circuit them out somehow. Anyways, I have comcast cable 3 in one remote, which I have spent over 5 hours trying to have it learn the Insignia code, to no avail. I am going out to purchase a universal remote and would like to know if anyone who has this tv has found a compatable urc that they were able to get to work with certain model of Insignia tv? I would appreciate any help, because I am beyond annoyed at this tv and brand. FYI , the first time the remote broke, I called customer service and they told me to take it back to BB for a new one. 2nd time it broke, I called cust serv and a heavily accented man was rude and not helpful and said Insignia does not give out its remote control codes. I asked for his name and he said "Mr. Phillips" , I asked to talk to a supervisor, he said he was the supervisor. I asked where he was located and he told me "Argentina".
I know I made the mistake of buying this brand of tv, and I know this guy was giving me bs, but the tv itself is working fine. The remote is the problem. I need to buy the urc, so anyone please help me. Thanks in advance

i just bought a 20" insignia lcd hdtv for xmas. the code that works on my starchoice remote (canada satellite service) is 176.

As it turns out, there is only one sansui code. But it was the one that worked. Thanks a lot bro. I was up and running in 5 seconds.

For Sony universal remotes and an Insignia 27" LCD TV, I used 8042, an Emerson TV code. This worked on two different Sony remotes. I searched this thread and came up empty for 8042 so I hope this helps someone.

THANK YOU FOR THIS POST!!! I was about to throw my f'n remote at the TV. I just got a new Westinhouse flat screen and 0463 is the code acording to Comcast. I used the 0000 Sony code. Eureka!

I have an Insignia 20" tube TV (IS-TV040919) with a standard DirecTV box (D10) and controller (RC 16). Nothing I do seems to work to program the remote. I've tried all Orion, Sansui, Emerson, Memorex, Sylvania, Zenith and Funai codes as recommended. I've tried the 9-1-1 thing too. I think I pressed the Channel UP button for at least 20 minutes with no results. Has anyone ever figured this one out?

Try searching by vol instead of power for change:

1. tv
2. press and hold MUTE & SELECT for two blinks
3. enter 9-9-1, wait two blinks
4. enter 1
5. press and release VOL UP
6. with tv on, keep pressing and releasing the CH UP key, if and when the Volume changes
7. press SELECT to lock in code

I suggest you need a universal remote, a learning one. Like URC R5, R7, RF10 or RF20. They each have a preset code for the directv receiver, code SAT 173. and they list a insignia tv code that doesn't match the UEI codes 0463, 0150,or 0054.
