Many vendors on the Internet do not post an address or phone number. I urge caution in dealing with any such person or company. If they do not deliver as promised, it is difficult to contact them to attempt to obtain satisfaction. This is not a reflection on RR or any other specific vendor, simply a general common-sense opinion. Do business with those vendors at your own risk. Caveat emptor!!!

So I guess we should never sell or buy on eBay (a multi-billion dollar company) because they don't list a phone number either. If you have a problem with eBay, you are lucky to get an email response within 3-5 days.
I'd agree with you if an etailer demanded cash or check, but when I pay with a credit card I am fully protected in case of fraud or any delivery problems whatsoever.
I bought from RRDeals.com and they reponded via email within 1 hour!!! Better yet, they shipped same day and as I said before, I am a happy buyer and love the MX500.
I am new to this forum and if RRDeals had start up or delivery problems in the beginning, they sure corrected it and are a great company to deal with now.

I'm a happy RRdeals.com customer. I got a good price, and my remote works great. The fact that it was shipped in its original packaging didn't inspire confidence, on the other hand, it did survive just fine.

I did send rrdeals.com a few emails when I got nervous about the order initially because I received no confirmation e-mail. They always responded to the e-mail right away and kept me abreast of what was happening.

Not the greatest experience in the world, but certainly not the worst. And no, I don't work for rrdeals.com, check avsforum or DSLReports, for better or worse you'll find hundreds of other posts by me ;-)

I just got my mx-500 from VSS technology (or somethign similar). Ordered it on Tuesday and got it on Thursday for around $145 shipped.

Now my poor wife will have to watch me program it for the next couple of hours......

Outstanding,
Bob

I bought my MX-500 from surfremotecontrol.com during the backlog days of April. They kept me well informed of the status of my order and gave me a free upgrade in shipping when they got their remotes in stock. It came came very well packaged and I've been in remote heaven ever since :o)
A great price and great service
I can highly recommend this company

I just received my MX-500 from http://www.homeautomationnet.com/ and I am very impressed with the service. I had a problem with the online credit card payment part of the site (I think I missed a digit in my CC#) so I decided to select the "phone" option. I placed my order and was not sure what the "phone" option actually meant so I gave them a call the next day. They explained everything, took my CC# and sent it out overnight delivery instead of the cheaper method I selected. I ended up getting the remote for $177.

Bought mine from efuntional .com $140 with shipping ordered on the 12th received on the 15th. UPS tracking # was given so I could track it. Very satisfied!

Why can I not get "efuntional.com" to come up in my browser? Spelling error?

You're missing a "c" after the first "n".

I thought I had tried it with a "c". But, it works this time.

Where does efunctional.com get its "regular" prices from? Check this page out and see the regular price for the MX-1000. LOL

Here's my experience. I ordered from RRdeals and got my remote for $139 including shipping. It shipped via UPS and arrived at my house 3 days after the order was placed (not including the weekend and holiday). It was shipped in the original box and arrived undamaged. I received an email confirmation upon order (with the credit card info in the confirmation, admittedly a slight risk), a confirmation email of shipment from UPS and then another follow-up/confirmation/thank you email from RRdeals telling me UPS shipped the order. All in all, a painless experience at a very good price.

BTW the remote really is incredible, I went from 5 remotes down to one. You do have to play with it a bit though because the preset codes don't always control every single feature you would like. Combining the preset codes with a bit of "learn" mode and some macros really makes this remote fantastic. Good luck.
