Two days ago, I bought an MX-500 from SurfRemoteControl.com for $119. I looked at rrdeals, but they don't accept american express.

Surf Remote Control was great. This was a present. After I received the confirmation e-mail, I sent a reply asking that they not put the invoice in the box. I received a response back that they instead included a letter saying it was a present from me with all of their contact information in case they have any problems - way beyond just not putting an invoice in the box.

OK. I'm planning on (finally) buying an MX-500. Has anyone purchased from universalremotecontrol lately? There price is good ($131 shipped) and they offer a 30-day return policy. RRDeals does not offer any return policy that I see posted on their site. I just noticed that surfremotecontrol offers a 15-day return policy that has been extended through January 15th due to the holidays (nice move). It's not that I anticipate not being happy with the remote, I just like having peace of mind!

Thanks!

TonyS,

RRDeals.com does indeed have a return policy listed on our website - [Link: rrdeals.com]

We had also extended our policy to 1/15/02 to cover holiday purchases (not that there's even a CHANCE the receiver won't want one! :)

Just want to add a positive note on purchasing the mx-500 from rrdeals. Got a very low price including shipping of $131 and had the remote 3 days later. Everything is working great.

Randy -

My apologies! I obviously didn't check your website thoroughly - that's the way my life has been now that my daughter is 10 months old. I have to do things as fast as I can now! Anyway, thanks for the link and I hope to get around to ordering my MX-500 this week!

I purchased two Mx-500 from RRDeals for x-mas presents both game in great condition two days later. One is for my father-in-law and one is for me. Unfortunately, I haven't got to play with it yet, as my wife wrapped it and placed it under the tree, so I'll have to wait until Tuesday I guess. First time in a long time, that I feel like a kid waiting to open his presents.

Anyway, I digress, good response and service from Randy.

I just got my MX-500 from AVstreet.com for $104.95. Shipping was $14.49. That price isn't listed on the site, you must call them over the phone to get it.

Good luck.

WeGotCoolStuff.net hasn't shipped my remote after 10 days.

I ordered my original remote, in November, without problems. I ordered a second remote for my dad for Christmas on December 18. It is December 28, and according to thier site, the remote has not shipped yet. I have sent multiple e-mail messages to the seller, however, I have yet to receive a response.

I would have recommended them after my first purchase, however, this is never acceptable, no matter how often it happens.

UniversalRemote is selling the mx-500 for $131 SHIPPED. Doesn't RRdeals still offer a few extra benefits (like an extended warranty or something like that)???

I'd get it from 800.com (cause I have a $50 gift certificate) but they are outta stock.

I got my MX-500 from realelectronics.com
Their price is 114.00 and shipping is free.
They have a 14 day after receipt return policy and
if it is not defective when you are returning it there
is a 20% restocking fee. I had no problems with
them. Just be sure you want it. The price was the
lowest I have seen.
