A new, clean thread for posting "Where to buy online" and experiences with the online buying process.

www.homeautomationnet.com is where I bought my remote and some X-10 stuff.

Great service, fast and cheap shipping, helpful emails from Bill. While not the cheapest price out there, it was honest and I liked the feeling of supporting a mom and pop internet business.

Highly recommended.

Me, too. HomeAutomationNet shipped Express Mail, and I got what I believe is the latest version, with all of the upgrade present.

I got mine on ebay, the guy was great and I had it in 2 days. I even sent a friend to him to buy one. He was real happy too. His Email address is [email protected] and that's his ebay seller name too if anyone is interested. Good Luck.
Ps. I lust looked and there is a few up there...
Oh! This is the best investment I have made for my home theater since I started my home theater!

I also ordered mine from homeautomationnet.com. Excellent service. I ordered it with 2 day express shipping on a wednesday so it would arrive before the weekend. They received their shipment a bit late and automatically upgraded me to next day air so i would still receive it on the expected day.

I would certainly do business with them again.

Just got an MX-500 from www.surfremotecontrol.com. They were out of stock when I ordered, but they were always up front about it on their website so I wasn't concerned about waiting. Also, they answered some questions I had about the remote, so they seem to be knowledgeable about the products they sell. The remote arrived well packed in a separate box.

Great remote at a great price! Recommended.

just wanted to add my praise to HOMEAUTOMATIONNET.COM for being an incredible company to do business with. I had a question before I ordered, which received a prompt and helpful response. I received the remote in 2 days via priority mail for only 5.95 shipping (in addition to their very good price). Here is where they really shine... I noticed a slight scratch on the glass and a thumbpad that seem to stick when pushing up(not their fault!) so I left them a message about the problem. I soon received a email with a new confirmation number and was told a replacement remote was being sent to me (wow, a cross ship without asking or even charging me) same day and I again received it in two days. They included a address label and return postage. This kind of treatment has guaranteed I order other X10/HomeAutomation devices from em in the future. Thanks Bill and Laurie

Gary: Could we give the whole RRDeal thing a rest, please.

There obviously are people who are getting their remotes from RR and are happy. If not, URC would have done something by now.

RR started off very badly, but they have honoured their lengthy post of a couple of weeks ago by staying away from advertising on the forum. So, let's give them and the rest of us a break and let it die a peaceful death.

If you're happy with the way RR has dealt with you, let us know. If you're unhappy with the way they have dealt with you, let us know.

But, let's forget about the fact that they don't give out the phone number. You've told us enough times.

IMHO!
