It comes with a rechargeable Li-Ion battery and charging station, so that shouldn't be a problem.

It sounds like the program files for this remote will be pretty big. Does anyone know if the USB connection is the faster 2.0, or the slower 1.1? I'm hoping for quick file uploads.

I don't think that'll be much of an issue. Even USB 1.1 is fast enough to transfer 32 MB (the unit's capacity) in a few seconds.

This is true, DT!!! I wasn't thinking!

With 32 megs though, it remains to be seen how much memory there is for graphics which would make the difference in what color depth the jpeg graphics would be that a user would put into his file.

Thanks for the reply, David.

However, if anyone knows whether it's USB 1.1 or 2.0, I'd like to hear which it is.

Thanks

I've emailed the chief engineer on the USB issue. I will post when I get a reply from him.

After spending more time with the software, another welcome addition is the choice (On or Off) to have the touchscreen "wake up" when you pick it up and/or when you touch the screen or push a button, as well as the usual "backlight on" time and screen brightness. You can also set the LCD screen to turn off after a specified time (1 to 5 minutes) when not used, separately depending whether it's on or off the recharging cradle.
