I don't believe in Santa Clause or messiahs. Obama did a lot of things right and a lot of things wrong.

1.Did nothing to punish the war criminals of the Bush administration.
2.Did nothing to jail the bankers and wallstreet for causing the housing market crash that led to the recession.
3.Did very little to close our illegal cuban prison where we hold people without charges and torture them...like cowards.
4.Continued our cowardly unmanned drone bombing all across the middle east.
5.Allowed the states to gut and corrupt ACA to the point that its pretty much worthless for anyone except people with existing conditions who were not able to get insured before ACA.

One person didn't tank the economy and W warned against the lending practices that led to the burst of the housing bubble. You should look into the real cause- Barney Frank, Franklin Raines and Chris Dodd's circle jerks, AKA Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac and the lending practices of companies like Countrywide made the collapse inevitable. Companies like Countrywide didn't care if the borrowers could pay the mortgages because they had PMI, so they wouldn't be left high and dry. The mortgage insurance industry, however, was screwed. When lenders sold the bad notes and investment banks bundled them as an investment vehicle for the global investors, it guaranteed that the scheme would lead to major problems and no, investment bankers are not all Republicans.

So who is to blame? There’s plenty of blame to go around, and it doesn’t fasten only on one party or even mainly on what Washington did or didn’t do. As The Economist magazine noted, the problem is one of "layered irresponsibility … with hard-working homeowners and billionaire villains each playing a role." Here’s a partial list of those alleged to be at fault:

The Federal Reserve, which slashed interest rates after the dot-com bubble burst, making credit cheap.

Home buyers, who took advantage of easy credit to bid up the prices of homes excessively.

Whether Anyone at the federal reserve or central bank were advising W on the brewing meltdown, or if he would have listened, is anyone's guess. Neither will remove/edit/add legislation that puts the financial industry back on their leashes. The difference between these two is that one of them will keep enough money in the economy to keep the poor people from eating the rich people...and the other person is so stupid and has such a fragile ego that he will make huge mistakes and deny they happened while his tiny little hands are being chewed off his arms.
