Oh my, is it against code to not have a wall plate on a wall? Personally I dont think there was a need to be labeled. All the wires do the same thing, feed the dvrs in the rack. Lets see some more of your pics. isnt the saying "put up or shut up"?

well, yes it is. we cant pass inspections without all wall boxes being covered (finished). even if it wasnt, it looks like sh$t, it can cause drafts and feed fires, bugs and mice can get in. i wasnt saying you need to label your wires dummy. i was saying that you nailed me to the cross for improper labeling techniques and you have mentioned and shown some pretty nasty problems.

And I attacked you only to be on "fanboys" side. We are a minority on these forums (hence the Rodney King quote). But I'm not here bagging on Crestron. I'm not here really to bag on you. You attacked Kevin (maybe we are a gang?). I try to be as helpful to others as possible. I put the links to some of the ways I've learned to do things over my past 20 years because I want to see integrity in this industry. Stamp builds some bad ass racks, way beyond my expertise. When he mentioned to me he liked the idea of the bbands at the multiswitch and that my idea was "stolen", I was floored. If we are as passionate about what we do (as we both seem to express here) it says that there is still integrity in our industry. Its not just a bunch of monkeys showing up on somebodys doorsteps with dollar signs in thier eyes. We should all have reason to be proud of the product we produce, and better it with every install.

ill agree with that, i do know one thing it is definately not getting us anywhere filling 6 pages with sh$t.

PS i absolutely did not attack Kevin. he decided that he should call me out and that i should show my work because i believe crestron is better and more innovative than C4. than you just came out swinging.

Kevin, that is a beautiful rack. i have a few under my belt almost that nice. i know you C4 guys have to make some money somewhere, why not with ridiculous amounts of time with labor right? i always try to sell the time it takes to do this but very rarely do. it almost unnecesary to get that neat. equipment changes so often i find it a hinderance at times. i am not saying i dont appreciate what you have done, it is absolutely top notch, i question the feasibility of it.

i believe crestron is better and more innovative than C4.

And exactley what type of innovation were you trying to demonstrate with that Adagio system and touchpanel programmed in system builder? The biggest joke of this whole thread is that you might as well be using control4.

I got a bunch of pics of sharpie action & handwritten labels.. you folks will never see them though :). My boss hated it so i had him spend some ching to get some nice label makers. Label makers eat up time so i try and print them out ahead of time on laser or ink jet sheets. Saves a ton of time and helps you keep track of what cables have been run vs the ones that have not.

I worked with a damn good CI out in New Orleans a couple weeks ago. He had a DYMO RHINO 6000. Very sweet! It can do manual key entry labels for when your hanging upside down in an attic :) and it can connect to your PC. The software it comes with is insanely helpful. At some point i am going to try and slide one on to the company credit card :).

Speaking of ugly rack pics.. if you guys could see my first few.. you would have a field day making fun of me :).

vincent, you really are a f%cking prick. not every job justifies custom programming, also i have custom modules in the system builder program for the 4 zones of carrier infinity HVAC, matrix style audio routing page, mp3 player for doorbell. i love the graphics of the destiny template. it looks better than most custom programmed panels. i use the template or pieces of it alot even when i do custom program.

i am sorry you are so pissed that i called you out on the fact that you are an idiot and with one post you lost all crediblity with me. how long are you going to track my posts and harass me?

Ooooo im so empty inside that I have lost credibility with you. You have called me out on absolutely nothing and in fact you are the idiot.

Track your posts? I started this thread jack ass. I have not posted in your thread.

Take my advice, why don't you learn how to use spell check, than go outside and play hide and go f@#k yourself.
