I think its best I ignore a few of you guys here. I think Audible Illusions (Alan) checked out for some of the same reasons. He and I fought, but that was over over Crestron programming comments etc.
I think he got fed up with it during the elections. Cant blame him.
Some of the dirt you guys sling is... Alan is too busy on facebook telling the gays to hold off fighting for equal rights because "there are more important things to deal with". When i asked Alan how he would feel if it were the Jews who were fighting for equal rights...and they were told to hold off...how would he feel...he didn't get it. It appears he isn't the only one who doesn't get it.

Riiiight. You would make a good Republican presidential candidate. This is Bruce attempting to put Fins down by calling him a republican presidential candidate. AKA the Dirt that Bruce slings.

Today I installed Audio Control's [Link: audiocontrol.com] and [Link: audiocontrol.com]Ran it over 25pair Cat3. Worked like a charm. Thanks to ones that recommended those pieces. Since my brand new HEOS Link is fubar, it's nice to be able to have audio in the shed, complements of Russound's C5 unpowerd Zone7. Next step is to get the second set of RCAs from the AC's unit connected to Russound's Zone8 and get some outdoor speakers working.

Just found out the remodeler whom working on the porch cover stole my job which we are working on the same house.
The project was 7.1 setting with 8 zones DA. Speakers for 7.1 and 5 zones DA were already installed soon as after the painter finish his first coat.
One pair to be installed under the porch cover and the other two pairs to be installed in the landscape.
Today, we came to start the last stage of installation. My helper started to unbox those speakers to be installed outside. Soon as he stepped through the back door, he came back in immediately and addressed what he saw in the porch. We walked out to investigate what might ha been done to the landscape. Lo and behold, we found two pairs enclosure Yamaha speakers just being laid on the ground.
I asked the HO what was going on and I was not notified what happened. HO said those speakers were included in the contract and his wife signed it while he was out of town. They were not aware of those speakers were included.
WTF, now I have three pairs of speakers are out of the boxes. Hopefully there are jobs come up with the need of those speakers.

You could just have him pay for them as per your contract (if you have one) and then he can do with them what he wants. Of course he may have ill feelings towards you afterwards. To be honest, I am pretty tired of dealing with crap like that where clients want you to eat the cost. They screwed up, not you.

This particle client is one of the first client when I start in AV business. He recommend his family members, friends, even his clients to me. And those were very helfty projects.
I have done quite number of works at his old home. Now, he retired and decided to down size - bought a moderate smaller home and sold his big home.
He felt bad once I informed him what was going on and clearly he thought I installed the speakers, not the remodeler.
My rant was the remodeler who stabbed me in the back since I was the one I recommend him to do the work.

I spent 5 hours and 24 minutes on the phone with tech support today. Gist of the story, the system controller is f**ked up and I'll get to reprogram the entire system from scratch because it's being replaced with a new model controller.
Tech support was great to hang in that long and try everything possible to get my client working for the weekend.
