If you get a chance post a pic of the keypad in the outdoor box.

Can do, but not til I go back and take one first. I'll be back next week to finish up. The box was just some $5 outdoor box that he got and wanted to use. Should work pretty good, not as clean as I'd like, but not bad.

Wow. Client made noises about a new remote because the volume and mute stopped working his first generation Integra receiver, DTR6. Somewhat excited that I could sell a remote and programming... except the IR in is dead on the AVR! So they got a new AVR and I updated his CHAD remote instead!! I could barely see the screen! When I started selling and installing them I could read the screen....now???

How many of you have even seen a CHAD in the last 12 months??

Simon,
What TV is that? I use Tote Vision behind the mirror but that one seems very bright.
It could be the glass as well I use Mirropane dark.

Lol, you caught me mid edit.
We are using the Mirror image screen behind a transparent section of the mirror glass which was custom made, so when the TV is off you see a black section where the TV is. You can't get a normally tinted mirror that will show the screen through it, it's always a darker tint and you can't 100% eliminate the mirror effect when the TV is on behind a mirrored surface. It's probably a darker mirrored tint in front of the screen that makes your image look less bright.

I have done a few of these and in a bathroom where you have normal mirrors, you have to use a transparent section for the TV or the mirror in front of the TV will never match the other mirrors in there, it's always a trade off.

Ok, just finishing the project with the mirror image and the rack recently posted. Here is some more from the same job. Just a couple of tweaks and programming changes to go. House contains 17 zones of audio via Crestron (5 are links to stand alone systems. 3 TPS 4000 (forgot to take pics), 2 TPS 2000 (forgot the pics again), 3 1700 wireless panels,4 fifty inch Pioneer panels, 1 Samsung 50 inch panel in the Garage. Triad flush mounts and subs all round except Garage and outside (Sonance there). We also control all lighting, heating/cooling, Blinds, etc, etc. Also phone system, Data, Wireless, Matv, etc, etc. You get the idea, the normal stuff.

This is in the Garage

Simon,

Nice work mate. Super tidy with clean lines.... Like it.

One question though:

Have you ever had any drama's with the cables creaking or breaking on the Ultra-Lift droppers? We just happened to be on site one day ($7.5M Penthouse) when our client came in and said "Hey, you guys better come and look at this". We went in and saw that one had dropped about an inch. We thought it had just not closed properly and needed a touch-up on the adjustment. When we went to lower it, we heard the cable slipping and just managed to grab it as it swung down towards the painting hanging on the wall behind it. The aluminium ferrule at one end had let go!!!

Imagine trying to catch a 42" plasma in full flight, hinged from an 8' ceiling.

It's amazing what the human body can do when it needs to!

Needless to say we stopped using them and have gone to Screen Technics now. They are far more solid in their build, have a better fail-safe and I believe are also little cheaper.

Just my $0.02...

Simon, What are you doing watching NASCAR? I thought all your demo pixs were of cartoons?
