“I’ll call you back with my remote...”
You knew someone eventually had to come up with it – a cordless phone and remote control, all in one unit! Innovative Intelcom Industries' $59.95 My1Remote 2.4 is, in fact, a combination preprogrammed remote control and 2.4GHz cordless telephone. On the remote control side, the My1Remote offers control of up to 4 devices, including DSS receivers, cable boxes, televisions, VCRs, DVD Players and radios.

Phone features include a 2-line backlit caller ID LCD screen, call timer, clock, pager, 10 channels with 64,000 security codes and a 26-number phone number memory. The phone and remote control share the same rechargeable battery, so you’ll never need to worry about your clicker running out of power. Now if only it could “mute” more than the TV...

X-10 Pro PUR09

X-10 for those with RF.
In the past, the X-10 Pro line of remote controls has always included a built-in RF transmitter for control of X-10 lighting via an RF transceiver. Their latest remote, the $35.99 PUR09, is no exception. An ideal universal remote for anyone already with an operating RF-based X-10 system, the PUR09 also includes codes to operate IR-based X-10 transceivers.

Seemingly related to the ATI Remote Wonder in style, the PUR09 is a 5-device remote capable of controlling televisions, VCRs, cable boxes, DSS receivers, DVD players and, of course, X-10. Main features include fully backlit keys, plus infrared code learning for any device not already built-in.

A truly universal PC remote!
Tired of PC remote controls that can only operate PCs? Niveus Media has a new solution: the $34.99 ONEbox PC Remote! As the first truly universal PC remote control, the ONEbox utilizes RF for PC control up to 40 feet away, and standard infrared for everything else home theater based!

Once again this is a remote that looks related to the ATI Remote Wonder, but it also offers much more. It features a built-in code database along with code learning capabilities for unrecognized devices, an 8-way mouse cursor control, and USB RF receiver.
