Well, when I saw the new 2.0 Integra driver, I thought, great, something I can use. Metadata from iradio, pandora, that's fantastic.

Well, not so. Be advised, that this is a new driver, you can't just do a driver update. You need to delete the existing driver you have in the system. Well, you know what that means? If you are trying to upgrade a previous project, forget it. When you delete the existing driver, you will delete all your Integra driver commands in the processor and all remotes. So you will basically have to start from scratch on your programming.

Way to go RTI. To use the nwe driver, I have to recode about 1,000 driver commands.

Hopefully they will realize how much of a problem this is, and find a way to do a driver update, but somehow I don't think so.

I wonder if this will be a trend with other future drivers. If it is, it will be a disaster.

Well it says it in the release notes. I bet there is a reason this driver cant just be updated. If its for a client system, dont do the upgrade or get paid to do it. If its your system have fun.

Good question, I'm curious also. An XP8 is not in our showroom budget at this moment but I do have one client who has one and might be interested in the upgrade if it gives him all the metadata. iRadio also
Thanks

I have not had any sucess with iradio matadata or presets. I have a XP8 and K4 in the showroom, and messed with it. after about an hour, I gave up, have other more pressing things to do.
