I've had my share of returns on the T3.

Sure like the looks of the T3v!!

How are they holding up in the field? How many months have they been in service for you?
There is no truth anymore. Only assertions. The internet world has no interest in truth, only vindication for preconceived assumptions.

T3-V is a great remote, it's basically the only one that I sell and I've been using them since the initial release.

All RTI batteries are rated for 1-year, my clients get closer to 3-years (on T3) possibly because I instruct them to only charge once you see the battery indicator that I have set to the lowest setting.

I personally have use one since initial release. I like the T2C better due to the transport hard buttons, I use the DVR a lot and don't like have to look at the screen every time I skip ahead for commercials.

I just had to replace the battery in mine and I only charge when the red battery indicator is on. I think it is sometimes luck on how long the battery lasts, but it does improve them when you don't use the charging cradle for storing the remote. I got over 3 years (or however long it has been out, seams like 3 years) on my first T2C battery and it is still going strong.

One unit bad out of the box, otherwise they are all running strong.

Five of ours are from the initial run, including the unit I'm using now. The battery is just now starting to show signs of shorter life... and mine resides on the charger any time it's not in use.

We have had nothing but great results with the T3-V. I have had one personally since the introduction of ZigBee and there have been no issues. As far as the hard buttons of the T2-C, I don't miss them much except for the transport functions. Silly omission if you ask me. Most navigation is through grids, guides and favourites for me and most of our clients.

Have maybe 15 in the field. Installed 2 last week. Use one at home.

Love it. No problems. Just be sure to check the available storage space.
