I personally have use one since initial release. I like the T2C better due to the transport hard buttons, I use the DVR a lot and don't like have to look at the screen every time I skip ahead for commercials.

I just had to replace the battery in mine and I only charge when the red battery indicator is on. I think it is sometimes luck on how long the battery lasts, but it does improve them when you don't use the charging cradle for storing the remote. I got over 3 years (or however long it has been out, seams like 3 years) on my first T2C battery and it is still going strong.
