I have been using the two for a while now, but yesterday was one of those days I would like to forget!! I was adding a T2+ for the kids and a couple of times I would have an IR file open, specifically a JVC VCR and a Denon DVD player. And when I tried to drag the numbers all at once ID would crash, Of course it had to happen three times before I noticed the pattern. Twice with the VCR, then it happened with the DVD palyer...

This is one of those projects where I have to replace the T3 downstairs twice, had a couple bad RM 433's. And now the master bed T2+ is loosing the graphics of the LCD so it needs to go back. With all those issues how do I rightfully bill the client? This is all in less than 3 years...

Have you checked the radiation levels in the house? Do the home owners glow in the dark?

I had it crash on me the other day while dropping numbers onto a U2... chalked it up as a fluke.

I'm still running XP.

hey roddy,

there really has to be something in the home causing all of these problems. not to sound like a weirdo, but have you checked the home for excessive rf interference, and in the power lines is there alot of garbage coming down the lines. my parents home has eaten 4 sets of cordless phones and 2 linksys wireless routers. can't explain it man, maybe aliens (makes as much sense as any other suggestion, lol).

back on topic, i have never had my ID crash but i too am still using XP.

It has nothing to do with Vista. ID will crash if you try to move a group of numbers automatically in the IR code search and replace.

How does RF interference cause a T3 to just stop working, as in the LCD. Then the replacement, which was a replacement that RTI sent back to us take a crap. Then the T2+ looses half of it LCD image??

All the while a T1/RP-1 works just fine the whole time...

The T3 thing and the RM-433 is well documented around here, plus all the other failures I have had kills your excuses for RTI, sorry!!

6.2 will crash if you try "Assign all Numbers" and 0-9 are not complete in the learned library...could that be it? Known bug...

The JVC had names associated with the numbers, but the Denon DVD 1600 numbers are complete.

Bought a new dell running 64 bit vista - can't connect to LCD touchscreen controllers and still have issues with ID2 locking up on random occasions when programming on my laptop THEN loading the program on to an XP desktop to load to the remote - joke. My old XP laptop did fine but I have to move along with my needs - hence the vista 64. Had to switch to Pronto until RTI can catch back up... which actually is going better than I thought so far.

You are aware that Id2 will not work with vista 64. They think they may have a patch later this month. I also do all my work on old computer.

The locking up issue I had was only while programing the M2 yesterday. I was updating some other files on T2C's and it worked fine. I even per TS @ RTI deinstalled ID and reloaded it. Still shuts down if using "assign numbers automatically" on M2.
