Yes I've only found it at circuit city, but unfortunatly they dont sell internationally which leaves me still looking for one in Australia.
Anybody else found one elsewhere?

Avalonics.com ship to Australia for a reasonable price. Their website says that they have they have 710 on backorder. I tried to order a couple and got an e-mail saying the 710 is a discontinued line. Can this be right? I've seen them on ebay selling for double the RRP.

I ended up settling for a 700s which seems like it will do the job.

Are they still for sale on eBay, I did a search using the model number and could not find it. How did you search for it on eBay? If not, is there anywhere else that still has some in stock?

I searched last week on ebay.com and got only 1 hit with an doublepack. Unfortunatly only inside U.S.
This model nowhere apeared on europeshop so i think it was U.S. only ?
Sony-site says out of production.
And hey, this thing looks great, so i dont think that anybody give it out of his hands, until it breaks down ;(

I found one on eBay and it went for $108 (US)!!! I think that is way too much money, you could get a Harmony for that. I got caught up in the bidding process and went all the way to $99, but I am glad I did not win it. Part of what was so attractive about this remote orginally was its low price.

Are people still interested in chasing down the 710 now that you can get the VL600 which has more features at the same price point? I only ask because I see that people are still paying well above retail for the 710 on ebay. Admittedly, the 710 seems to have better ergonomics than the 600 but I'd go for the 600's increased functionality every time.

Glenn Danzig, I want to thank you for your post. Along with VeryBadBoy's review it lead me to the RM-VL600 and I just picked one up two days ago. I absolutely love it... and for $25 no less. Thanks!
