I think he spent his bottom dollar on his high dollar tv and high dollar 6012 remote. Bottom dollar? Is that like dealing off the bottom of the deck? Pay with a one dollar bill when all the top ones show 20's?
Or is that the last dollar from a stack of dollars, all the rest having been spent? Naturally I expect to get an answer in this brain dead remote thread, since remote code questions never get answered.

I have all the codes for the 6011, and the code DIDN'T WORK, smart ass. Another thing is, if someone searched for daewoo tv and this thread came up, THEY'D HAVE THEIR CODE IF IT WASN"T FOR YOU!!!!! If it wasn't for you people being dickheads whenever someone asks for a code, I probably wouldn't have had to post in the first place! If you want a forum to post on and around and be , why don't you find another one? Why come on this site, designed to help people with their Universal Remote problems, and just jerk people around? You guys are seriouslly.

Rob, if you're the leading expert, and you wanted at all to help people, then why couldn't you have just answered the question in the first place rather than being a dick about it? It's now because of you that someone searching for Daewoo TV, only to end up in this thread, will not find their code, so don't use it against me.

If someone were to do a search for daewoo tv, this thread would show up as a 23 page entity. The search engine can not differentiate individual posts in this behemoth of a thread. So anything posted in here, is lost. You might say it's like Rob, it knows its in here, but it ain't telling.:) Oh yeah, swallow a couple of bars of soap.

I have recently purchased a 4 in 1 Remote from Dick Smith of Australia, the Digitor. This remote I think is aka UCommand 515. I have had no problem getting the remote to accept the IR code for my Panasonic TV. However, I have tried for hours to programme it to accept my Phillips VCR and Sat (Sky Digital Decoder) without success. According to my users guide the VCR and SAT codes are all 6000 or 7000 and something but all searches I have found so far on the net seem to be giving codes starting with a zero???
I am now stumped. Any wiser knowing people out there?
I'd be so glad for some help.

djy,

What did ya like best? The comedy? The abuse and obscene antics by some foul-fingered derelicts?

Limey is obviously an easily angered and abusive character. Verbally abusive people tend to be physically abusive as well. Chances are, he had a temper fit and threw his original remote which "broke" it. In 20+ years I've never had a remote just up and quit for no apparant reason., although some electronics just won't last forever, I can see an IR led simply "burning out" and needing replacement, a pretty simple task. "Daewoo" hasn't been around very long, so his TV and remote probably aren't all that old, decreasing the chances it "broke" from the simple aging process.
His first tirade came when I didn't even see a post directed to him. I responded to his filth hoping he'd change his approach, but he came back with even more abuse. He may get his "significant other" (If they're unfortunate enough to have him for THEIR significant other) to cower and be responsive to his abusive tactics, but WE don't have to, refuse to, and thus Rob's response. Rob certainly is the OFA/ueic expert, he's the one that discovered JP-1, and designed and developed the KeymapMaster tool. He's also a protocol expert and with just a device, in a couple hours can custom program a ueic remote to work that device. I don't blame him from refusing to help limey, and I doubt any other "helper" here will either because limey has well shown his true colors. As far as we're concerened, he can just sit on his lime popsicle and rotate---gee, would that make a fudgesicle?

ImALimePopsicle : what you don't understand is that we are anti BDT and people that post to them. There is no knowledge to gain from them, and we try to discourage people from posting to them.

Most of the people you just insulted have helped many people, and being rude isn't going to get you more help.

Dave: that is why I go through all the forums

James: a lot of my original remotes are broken, carelessness not throwing them against the wall

Well you see the thing is, I don't actually have a Daewoo TV myself, so it's not that simple. I saw both of your other posts and was in teh process of gathering the info needed to answer your question. Here's what I have to do to answer questions like yours. First, I have to go to the Pronto file section here at RC and see if there's a ccf file for the device in question, and fortunately, there is a file for a Daewoo TV. Next, I have to download it and sometimes I have to convert it to the old Pronto format, so I can run ccf2efc against it. This tells me what the IR signals look like. Next, I have to get the remote in question and see if there is a signal in it that looks like the signal I found in the Pronto file. Etc, etc. Needless to say, this all takes time, which is why I didn't respond right away, and evidently, that wasn't quick enough for you.

If you take a few minutes out of your busy schedule and look back over the history of this BDT you will get an idea of how this thread works. You weren't singled out, you simply posted in a thread for idiots, so you were treated like one. Most people just say "oops, my mistake", then start a new thread and we help them.

You, on the other hand, have shown yourself to be a complete rambling idiot, which is unfortunate. Don't get me wrong, it's everyone's right to be an idiot if they chose to do so, and some people probably have no choice, they are just born that way, which is probably the case with yourself. But now that you've gone to the next level and insulted just about everyone who would be the slightest bit inclined to help you, I'm afraid that you're probably SOL as far as getting any help here is concerned. I'm really not sure where to suggest that you try next as RC is the best place to get help with a remote. There is a remote control forum over at AVS, but I'm one of the helpers there too, so if you use the same assinine handle as you did here, I'll be sure not to help you there either.

Maybe you should just try calling OFA direct as they probably won't know that you're the same dickhead from the RC forums, unless you tell them of course.

Good luck buddy, and get some anger management couseling while you're at it! :)
