it appears that Wizz.it isn't recognizing any of the file downloads from this site. I have downloaded 10 or so files and each .pcf file get the same error from Wizz.it which basically says it cant recognise the file and cant open it.

Need some help.

Thanks

Thanks Daniel that worked perfectly.

So I'm new to the Pronto/Marantz remote thing...picked up a like new 9500 off ebay and figured I give it a shot. I've been going through the forum looking for clues on where/how to get going. So I have a few questions and I hope you don't mind the newbie nature of them.

Because of the age of these devices I assume that I will have to create my own devices/codes and that they will most likely all have to be learned...or is there a place that lists/houses current IR codes?

What program(s) do you use to make all of the custom art work?

How can I import pics? What format works best?

Do you have a tip/tricks type doc I can check out :) ?

You can try [Link: remotecentral.com] though it's a tad obsolete, most of the information is valid.

Some codes will need to be learned, especially for newer types of devices and brands, but many old standards will still work from the database. With that said, I always prefer to learn anyways. Guarantees I get exactly what I want. Thankfully Pronto hex code became the standard, so discrete codes are usually posted in it.

Bitmap software is whatever works for you. I did my buttons manually in Corel, some folks use button tools, or you can just copy other layouts without reinventing. Study how other files you like are built up. BTW, you want 24-bit PNG files with transparency.

Also be sure to search the forums for help! Every piece of information ever asked or learned about the Pronto is in this database, waiting to help!
