I have VMware workstation 11 and it doesn't work in Windows 10. If I download workstation 12 do I have to uninstall workstation 11? Then would I have to reinstall the XP disc?

Thank you Bob H.

I upgraded from earlier versions of VM to VM12 (see mail before) and hadn't to re-install Windows XP.
Best regards, Jürgen

Thank you. I installed VMware 12 over VMware 11 and it worked.

Thanks again Bob H.

I was too late after updating windows 7 to 10 thinking about Prontoedit.

Surprisingly both ProntoEditNG and ProntoProEditNG both work perfectly.

I did have to change both applications to run in compatibility mode and my RU990 (UK version TSU7500) took ages to install the driver, both worked flawlessly.

What a relief.

I have been running prontoproeditNG successfully in an XP virtual machine under windows 7 using VM workstation for some time now. Just got a new laptop running windows 10, copied the VM over, installed it and it ran first time.

Just to let you know:

I run the XP virtual machine (version 12) under windows 10 quite a while and without problems.
But I had problems with having a wireless internet connection in the normal Windows environment.
Now I have discovered that I have to disconnect the VMWare internet connection to have a good wireless connection.
(Notes: 1. I use XP virtual machine only for Pronto. So there is no need to have an internet connection when running XP virtual.
2. I don't use the windows PC much (mostly I work with an iMac), so it took a while for me to figure out what was at hand.)

Sorry. That was not the reason for the wifi not working. I still have problems with establishing a stable wifi connection with Windows 10.

Hello All,

Hate to ask a question that may have been answered before:

Is there a driver for the TSU7000 for Windows 7? The program runs, but won't connect to the remote.

Again, sorry if this is old territory...

There is only a 32 bit XP driver. You should be able to run Virtual PC (with WinXP image) or a VMWare image and map in the USB drivers.

There are no drivers for Windows 7 and beyond. As Lyndel says, running XP under VMware works fine, on win7 and win10.

Has anyone tried on Windows 10 x32 ? It even had issues with Windows 7 x64. The biggest problem was no x64 drivers. If you have a Windows 10 x32, I am wondering if it works...

Personally I prefer VMware player 12 for this.... I created a Windows 7 x32 VM, only a 15gb drive, ONLY use it for the remote. It's portable, as I drop it on a USB drive to back it up.

So when I want to work on my remote, It is a dedicated OS for it, so no extra crap to fight with. And when I boot it up, it works, even time...
