Hi Everyone,
My TSU-3000 screen is not responding to touch. I tried
the fix where you push a needle through the ribbon cable
at the top of the touch screen and that worked for a couple
of months. After that the screen started to act up again.
I redid the needle fix and it worked again for a few
days until it stopped responding to touch all together.
I am now going to try something I haven’t seen done by
anyone yet. I plan to fix the remote by replacing the
conductive epoxy and ribbon cable. I plan to use 30awg
wire to individually make the connections between the
board underneath the screen and the place where the ribbon
used to attach on the top. I am going to replace the
epoxy with a new epoxy from MG Chemicals.
[Link: mgchemicals.com]I should be getting the epoxy in about 10 days and I plan
to update this thread as soon as I have the results of
my experiment. I DO NOT know if this is going to work
but at this point the remote is worthless so I’m not really
losing anything if it doesn’t. I am curious if anyone
else has tried this yet. If so how did your results turn
out?
So I guess it did not work w/ the epoxy thing.....
