Yes. i used 30awg wires to replace the ribbon. once i
had the ribbon desoldered from the back of the screen
i simply pulled it off of the top. The touchscreen you
say you used looks to be $60, not $30 from that site.
Plus you said in other posts that it is smaller than
the standard screen.

[Link: cgi.ebay.com]Yes the downside is that you will get a 1mm bar on the top and botton of the screen. But the replacement touchscreen is more sensible to touch than the OEM. And you will be shure that will work.
