I had the exact same problem last summer when they upgraded the OS from 3.7.7.
Everything worked fine except one button on one device. In this case a Pioneer 300 DVD changer, the Select button. Worked fine by itself, but in any macro, any order, no go. I even tried another 7000, and then took the customers 7000 back home to try it on my Pioneer changer. All produced the same problem. I posted the problem, and Lyndel suggested trying duration. At first I got nowhere. Then, just for grins, tried increasing duration .01 each time. Worked with .33 and .34 only. Wierd. It also worked with a double hit, ie, Select, .3 delay, Select. It saw it as one Select.
I would go back to 3.7.7 and it worked on both 7000's, both changers, default duration. When they finally fixed the double button press/lockup problem in the 3.7.16 OS, I upgraded several customers with the same problem on Pioneer devices. Each only required playing with the duration, slowly, until the magic numbered was discovered.
Go figure.......

I'll give that a go, when I can find the time, probably just knock up a panel of buttons with .01 increments in duration until I get it to work, thanks for your post.

It's very odd when you go through everything logically and then find that what works isn't logical at all.

cheers, Adam.

Thanks a ton. I have just upgraded from a tsu2000 to a 3500 and everything migrated over accept one function in a link. Fun you mention Pioneer because that is the device that I was having issues with. I even found on the Pioneer website pcf files for most systems and that still did not work when it came to placing a link to the command. I just tried the send it twice and that worked. I am now off to try the duration. I was going crazy. Thanks a ton.
