I'm having a problem with having to press all buttons (hard buttons and on-screen) twice to get the command to send. The remote is a TSU3000 with the latest firmware (v3.1.15). I have not yet tried the new PENG. Just downloaded it today. I am using the RF extender. The devices being controlled are Sony, Dish Network, Samsung, Mitsubishi, and Magnavox. All commands are learned except those for an old Magnavox tv use the internal database. The Magnavox tv buttons do not require two presses.

This problem occurs when the screen is "on" too, so it's not waking up the remote. I have tried putting a 0.1 sec delay before and after the command as mentioned in previous threads. Result is the same.

Also, if I press the button for a longer duration (not just tap), it does help send the Sony commands on the first press, but not the other devices.

I have tried learning codes directly to buttons and using links. Same result. The codes appear to be "clean" (no repeating ending and not too long).

Any suggestions?

You also need to always use the version of PENG that matches the firmware in your Pronto.

Thanks. Hopefully that's it. I can't think of any other reason why I would be the only one seeing this problem.

You are not the only person noticing a delay. Most users have a delay and have addressed it by adding a 0.1s delay to a button's Action List which converts the Button from a repeating IR command to a one-shot IR command that executes immediately.

However, for things like Fast Forward/Rewind where a code must be sent multiple times, the delay approach does not work well. Therefore, I worked with LowPro to post a solution for Sony Codes, the most common problematic area.
